What is macaroni and cheese?

Macaroni and cheese is a popular dish made with cooked pasta and a creamy, cheesy sauce. It is a comfort food enjoyed by many people around the world. While the specific recipe can vary, the basic preparation involves boiling pasta until it’s tender, then mixing it with a sauce made from cheese and a roux. Our macaroni and cheese is made using shell pasta, which provides a different texture and allows the sauce to fill the shells.

The cheese sauce for macaroni and cheese typically includes ingredients like butter, flour, milk, and shredded cheese. The butter and flour are used to create a roux, which serves as a thickening agent for the sauce. Milk is then added gradually to create a creamy base, and shredded cheese is melted into the mixture to give it its rich and cheesy flavor.
