What is an iced caramel latte?

An iced caramel latte is a delicious cold beverage that offers a sweet and refreshing flavor. Unlike traditional coffee-based lattes, this drink doesn’t include coffee or espresso in its preparation. Instead, it is made by combining milk with caramel and ice. The milk serves as the base, and you can choose your preferred type, be it whole milk, skim milk, soy milk, almond milk, or oat milk. The mixture is chilled with ice cubes, making it a refreshing option, perfect for hot weather or as a treat any time of the year.

What do you need to make it?

Sugar: Sugar is the key ingredient used to make the caramel syrup. When heated, sugar caramelizes and develops a rich, sweet, and slightly nutty flavor that gives the drink its distinctive taste.
Butter: Butter is often added to the caramel sauce to enhance its texture and add a rich, slightly salty flavor. When combined with sugar, it contributes to a smoother and creamier caramel.
Milk: Milk serves as the base liquid and provides the drink with a creamy and smooth consistency.

serving suggestions

There are many ways to serve an iced caramel latte. The glass or cup is chilled before assembling the drink to keep it refreshingly cold. Caramel syrup can be drizzled in a swirling pattern around the inside of the glass before adding the drink. As you pour the cold milk into the glass, do so slowly and evenly over plenty of ice cubes to create a visually pleasing layered effect. For those seeking an even more indulgent experience, top the drink with a dollop of whipped cream and perhaps sprinkle some caramel bits on top or drizzle some caramel syrup. To complement the iced caramel latte, serve it with delicious caramel-flavored cookies, biscotti, or pastries.
