What are chocolate covered goldfish?

Chocolate-covered Goldfish are a tasty treat that combines two popular snacks: chocolate and Goldfish crackers. These treats feature the iconic fish-shaped cheddar crackers made by Pepperidge Farm, but with a delicious twist – a coating of smooth, creamy chocolate.
The concept behind chocolate-covered Goldfish is simple but delicious. The familiar savory and cheesy taste of the classic Goldfish cracker is complemented and enhanced by the rich and sweet flavor of the chocolate coating. To create these delectable snacks, the Goldfish crackers are coated in a layer of chocolate. The chocolate used can vary, ranging from milk chocolate to dark chocolate or even white chocolate, depending on personal preference. However, in this recipe, milk chocolate is used. Some variations of chocolate-covered Goldfish also include additional toppings, such as colorful sprinkles, crushed nuts, or small candy pieces, adding more texture and flavors to the mix. The toppings not only add visual appeal but also bring unique tastes to each bite. Similarly, the type of chocolate used can be experimented with as can the flavor of goldfish used.

What do you need to make it?

Goldfish crackers: Goldfish crackers are the foundation of this dish. These fish-shaped, cheddar-flavored crackers are known for their distinctive taste and crunchy texture. When used in chocolate-covered Goldfish, they add a savory and slightly salty element to the treat. The cheesy flavor of the crackers complements the sweetness of the chocolate, creating a delightful balance between the two contrasting flavors. The crisp texture of the crackers also provides a satisfying crunch that enhances the overall snack.
Milk chocolate: Milk chocolate’s creamy and sweet taste complements the salty and savory notes of the Goldfish crackers, striking a perfect balance of flavors. In addition, the melted chocolate helps to bind the ingredients together. While in this recipe, milk chocolate is used, other types of chocolate can be used, including dark chocolate or white chocolate.
