  • 2 16oz packages of firm tofu
  • 1 lb. of broccoli
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • 3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce, divided
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

For the Sauce

  • 1/3 cup of peanut butter
  • 3 cloves of garlic, grated
  • 1 tablespoon of grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons of chili paste or 1/2 teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes

Method

Step 1

Drain the packages of tofu. Wrap each block of tofu in a paper towel and pat dry. Cut the tofu into 3/4-inch cubes.

Step 2

In a large wok, heat the oil over medium heat. When the oil is hot, add the tofu, taking care to avoid the oil splattering. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon of soy sauce. Saute, stirring roughly every minute until the moisture has evaporated and the tofu has lightly browned on all sides.
