What is watermelon Sorbet?
Watermelon sorbet is a delightful frozen dessert made primarily from fresh watermelon and a few simple ingredients. It is a refreshing and light treat that is perfect for hot summer days or as a delightful conclusion to any meal. The sorbet’s smooth and creamy texture and the natural sweetness of watermelon make it a perfect for those seeking a healthier alternative to traditional ice creams and desserts.
What do you need to make it?
Watermelon: It is best to use a ripe watermelon, as it well be sweet and juicy, with a satisfying melt-in-your-mouth texture. Ripe watermelons will be very sweet and eliminate the need to add a sweetener.
Lemon Juice: Lemon juice adds subtle, but tangy and bright flavor to the sorbet, perfectly complementing the natural sweetness of the watermelon.
How do you make Watermelon Sorbet?
Unlike other recipes, this recipe does not require an ice cream maker. The first step involves chopping watermelon into small chunks and freezing them. When the chunks are frozen, they are tossed into a food processor or blender with some lemon juice and blended until smooth. If the mixture is not smooth enough, a tablespoon or two of water can be added to soften the sorbet.
